This article provides an excellent clue to figuring out whether people are at risk of developing schizophrenia. Look at the markers, or endophenotypes of the disease. In this case, doctors were looking for abnormalities in eye movements and the inability to concentrate. In a study of 311 patients, 23% displayed these markers, which means that without having to show real symptoms, doctors can be aware that a patient might be at an elevated risk for schizophrenia.
Clear, interesting information on markers for schizophrenia, but i was distracted by the wierd question marks in the text.
