I wrote an article about Nijinsky: http://blogs.ebay.com/websociology/entry/Opera-Combs-Genius-and-Schizophrenia-Nijinsky-a/_W0QQidZ409873017 There is also the other side of the coin, that to keep their creativity, people with mental illness destroy others around them, especially their children who might inherit their mental illness gene.
